AUGUST UPDATE

HOLA! Greetings from the field in Guatemala.

A big big thank you!
We want to thank everyone who gave towards this current 2 month Guatemala mission and all that will give while we are gone. As well as a big thank you to the volunteers working so diligently while we are away to keep things running smoothly. Above pictured is a little town in Jocaton, Guatemala. This is the area of the church plant. As you can see many homes are just tin and tarps. Pray for this area to be engulfed with the love of Jesus and the true Gospel and the freedom it brings.
The team will be meeting weekly there and having prayer walks, doing outreach house to house. As well as holding a VBS for the town children. Ending with a program to invite the parents to a launch service. Much of the formula and toiletries that were donated will go to these families living in these shacks. Believe with us that the spirit of Poverty and witchcraft bows in this area. The name of Jesus is greater so we are just declaring His name over the region of Jocaton. Pray for our safety as we minister amist covid and unclean conditions.
We are declaring Matthew 11;5 over Guatemala. The blind shall see, the lame shall walk, the leapers shall be cleansed, the deaf will hear the dead raised and the Good news shall be preached to the poor. We glorify the Lord that we made it through customs with all the outreach supplies we brought.

We were honored to partner with Raising Arrows and Worship Life Jasper for the Back to School Outreach. Revival Arrows was able to set up and give away free new clothes to children needing a little extra help to go back to school. We were able to clothe about 250 children. God was so faithful and it was a huge success. Thank you for continuing to give back to help communities in America and abroad. One little boy in particular got a pair of Paw Patrol tennis shoes. His little face shined with joy as he put them on and they fit. He tried to give us his old shoes to pay for the new ones. Jesus loves community and we love to embrace community and the Nations with Him. As many of you know Jeremy and I have transitioned into full time missions. We would be honored for you to consider partnering with us monthly to continue the work of the kingdom. To make disciples that make disciples. To feed and clothe the needy and share the hope of the Gospel. To train and encourage leaders around the world to continue fighting the good fight of faith.
Blessings

Jeremy is currently back in the 10/40 window ministering. The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Approximately 5.33 billion individuals residing in 8,731 distinct people groups are in the revised 10/40 Window. 6,013 (68.9%) of these people groups are considered unreached and have a population of 3.28 billion. This means approximately 62% of the individuals in the 10/40 Window live in an unreached people group. The 10/40 Window is home to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world. During Jeremy's last 10/40 ministry trip he ministered in 11 countries over the span of 3 months. While in India God's glory poured out His love flowing transforming souls in a tangible way. The greatest miracle of salvations happened during this trip. We expect God to heal, save and deliver. We have had the honor to witness miracles around the world, but this was different. A whole village came to the Lord!! Yes, you read that correctly. A whole village said yes to Jesus. We had never seen this happen. From the chief of the village to the youngest villager all embracing the love and salvation of Jesus. In a little tutu car Jeremy and another pastor travelled up the mountain in the jungle area of India. There was a warning from their driver they would need to be down the mountain before dark. These little taxi cars go slowly and have no doors etc. Like in many parts of India tigers are an issue in that area. Villages are in different areas all up the mountain side. The sight and sounds of animal sacrifice along with chanting filled the air as the travelled. India is a dangerous place to be a Christian. According to world population it is in the top 10 most dangerous in the world. India is a restricted nation. The "restricted nation" title is typically reserved for countries with federal laws explicitly restricting Christian worship and evangelism. Christians make up only 2.4% of India. Most are Hindu and Muslim. Religious conversion is very rare in India. Pew research reports that only 0.4% of Hindus ever convert to Christianity. So, you see the magnitude of the miracle of a whole village saying yes. Jeremy and the Pastor ministering tested to make sure the village was not just willing to add Jesus to their other gods. In Hinduism many gods are served. They asked and led them through denouncing all other gods and receiving salvation through Christ. Deuteronomy 6:14: " Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; Acts 4: 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” We cannot wait to see what an impact this will have. How for generations now these people's lives are transformed forever. The trauma of the cultural practices of abuse and sacrifice stopped. The fact that even though hard times will still come. That persecution is a reality they now have access to the one who sticks closer than a brother. The one who heals, saves, delivers and gives life. Only once in eternity will truly be able to see and grasp the magnitude of all God has done. This story was just a short glimpse of a three-month trip. I'm humbled as I think back over the last two decades. The ministry around the globe all God has done. I wish I could share every story, every face every precious moment. It brings to mind the scripture in John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Even though we have seen and done I still feel we are just on the brink. Like there is so much more to see and do. Every day is a new day a new chance to share God's love for His creation. Jeremy and I are humbled at the things God has allowed us to be a part of. We are thankful for every opportunity to share His glory. There is always more, a chance to grow deeper and we are going after it. Whatever you do never stop sharing the Gospel from your family to your marketplace to the world. The benefits are eternal. “I believe that in each generation God has called enough men and women to evangelize all the yet unreached tribes of the earth. It is not God who does not call. It is man who will not respond!” – Isobel Kuhn, missionary to China and Thailand

Those who don't quit win! Seems self-explanatory and simple enough. Jeremy and I recently celebrated one year as full-time missionaries to Mexico. Transitioning from short term missions to living on the field has brough joy and pain, laughter and sorrow. Moments so beautiful tears fall like prayers. Moments so heartbreaking no words can express. We have come to understand fully the reality of Hudson Taylors quote “When I cannot read when I cannot think when I cannot even pray, I can trust.” A couple of weeks ago as a fellow missionary to Mexico prayed with us he kept saying "Those Who Don't Quit Win." He knows all too well the harsh reality of what Mexico missions brings. There are things that happen in this land that are so un-just. There is but one hope, one name, one answer to the problem JESUS. Jesus is the hope for Mexico and every nation. Here there always seems to be a need for more hands, more money, more time, more strength. We are encouraged by sitting before the Lord. He is the God of the more. Our total dependance is upon Him. We know if He doesn't show up, doesn't provide, doesn't move it will not happen. We have found ourselves in a place of total dependence and it's a beautifully broken place. The last year we have seen human suffering on a level I could not have imagined. Heard stories so terrible we could not share because the burden is too heavy for most to bear. But, in the midst of all of this we have seen the hand of God move. Miracles, signs and wonders, salvations on mass levels. The transforming power of the Gospel sweeping in to a dry a weary land. A year ago, when we embarked toward full time Mexico Missions God had given us a vision. We will run with the vision. Pioneering on toward the calling in our hearts for the people and the land of Mexico. Taking Jesus to the hard places, the dry places, the desperate places. Knowing we have the answer in the Great I AM. He is the hope for Mexico. So today if God has given you a vision PRESS, PRESS, PRESS keep pressing forward. Psalm 27:13-14, MSG Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God. Those Who Don't Quit Win. Jesus has already won the battle for us. Stay the course.
