Jeremy is currently back in the 10/40 window ministering. The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Approximately 5.33 billion individuals residing in 8,731 distinct people groups are in the revised 10/40 Window. 6,013 (68.9%) of these people groups are considered unreached and have a population of 3.28 billion. This means approximately 62% of the individuals in the 10/40 Window live in an unreached people group. The 10/40 Window is home to some of the largest unreached people groups in the world. During Jeremy's last 10/40 ministry trip he ministered in 11 countries over the span of 3 months. While in India God's glory poured out His love flowing transforming souls in a tangible way. The greatest miracle of salvations happened during this trip. We expect God to heal, save and deliver. We have had the honor to witness miracles around the world, but this was different. A whole village came to the Lord!! Yes, you read that correctly. A whole village said yes to Jesus. We had never seen this happen. From the chief of the village to the youngest villager all embracing the love and salvation of Jesus. In a little tutu car Jeremy and another pastor travelled up the mountain in the jungle area of India. There was a warning from their driver they would need to be down the mountain before dark. These little taxi cars go slowly and have no doors etc. Like in many parts of India tigers are an issue in that area. Villages are in different areas all up the mountain side. The sight and sounds of animal sacrifice along with chanting filled the air as the travelled. India is a dangerous place to be a Christian. According to world population it is in the top 10 most dangerous in the world. India is a restricted nation. The "restricted nation" title is typically reserved for countries with federal laws explicitly restricting Christian worship and evangelism. Christians make up only 2.4% of India. Most are Hindu and Muslim. Religious conversion is very rare in India. Pew research reports that only 0.4% of Hindus ever convert to Christianity. So, you see the magnitude of the miracle of a whole village saying yes. Jeremy and the Pastor ministering tested to make sure the village was not just willing to add Jesus to their other gods. In Hinduism many gods are served. They asked and led them through denouncing all other gods and receiving salvation through Christ. Deuteronomy 6:14: " Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; Acts 4: 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” We cannot wait to see what an impact this will have. How for generations now these people's lives are transformed forever. The trauma of the cultural practices of abuse and sacrifice stopped. The fact that even though hard times will still come. That persecution is a reality they now have access to the one who sticks closer than a brother. The one who heals, saves, delivers and gives life. Only once in eternity will truly be able to see and grasp the magnitude of all God has done. This story was just a short glimpse of a three-month trip. I'm humbled as I think back over the last two decades. The ministry around the globe all God has done. I wish I could share every story, every face every precious moment. It brings to mind the scripture in John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Even though we have seen and done I still feel we are just on the brink. Like there is so much more to see and do. Every day is a new day a new chance to share God's love for His creation. Jeremy and I are humbled at the things God has allowed us to be a part of. We are thankful for every opportunity to share His glory. There is always more, a chance to grow deeper and we are going after it. Whatever you do never stop sharing the Gospel from your family to your marketplace to the world. The benefits are eternal. “I believe that in each generation God has called enough men and women to evangelize all the yet unreached tribes of the earth. It is not God who does not call. It is man who will not respond!” – Isobel Kuhn, missionary to China and Thailand
